Cannon, who has served on the LBDA board since 2013, takes on the position of secretary replacing Christina (Tina) Christie, who is now board president. Christie takes over the position formerly held by Michael Koehler who has become CEO.
“As an LBDA board member who has been a strong contributor, we know that Marshall will excel as board secretary,” said Graham after elections at our recent board meeting.”
Cannon has over twenty years of brand and design management experience for Fortune 500 companies, small marketing companies and agencies. Since 2013, he has been the creative services manager for Delta Dental of California. WATT provides hands-on training in graphic design and IT-related fields for youth of color, and will be going into its second year in the summer of 2016.
“Marshall’s background as a design management professional has been of great service as we continue to spread the word about LBD and the association,” added Koehler “He directed redesign of the LBDA corporate web site, and provided creative direction for LBDA marketing collateral materials. His strong communication skills will benefit LBDA through his new role as board secretary,” said Koehler.
“It’s an honor to be named new LBDA board secretary,” said Cannon. “Tina has set the bar high and I look forward to upholding that tradition.”
