Raise Awareness
October is LBD Awareness Month
Standing Strong with LBDA means being counted as someone who understands how important it is for Lewy body dementia (LBD) to become a household word.
The LBD Awareness Movement is a national, grass roots effort to increase LBD awareness in the general public and medical profession. Together we are making October a Month to Remember by combining the efforts of LBD families and friends.
To promote awareness nationally, we need you to
TAKE ACTION LOCALLY!
The Lewy Body Dementia Association is dedicated to providing comprehensive information, education and support for the 1.3 million people afflicted by Lewy body dementias. Your grassroots efforts to educate the public locally will make a profound difference!
Please use the tools and resources provided below in your efforts to promote LBD Awareness Month:
| LBD Awareness Logo | LBD Awareness Poster |
| LBD Awareness Flyer | LBD Awareness Movement Toolkit |
| Community Outreach Kit | Physician Outreach Kit |
| Media Kit |
Standing strong with LBDA allows us to count you as a member of our LBD family. We have prepared a special FirstGiving donation page especially for LBD Awareness Month, where you can post a public message with your donation so that everyone can see how important this public awareness movement is to your family.
Your support can strengthen LBDA's ability to shine a ray of hope for LBD families, so that one day, Robert's family does not have to face LBD without a clear diagnosis, Sue's family will receive a solid understanding of the challenges ahead of them, and Paul can have unfettered access to physicians knowledgeable about the disease.
If you have questions about raising LBD awareness in your community, contact us at awareness@lbda.org or 404-935-6444, ext. 104.
