 Hello from NY
Hello, my name is Lisa.
My 85 year old father was diagnosed with LBD a year or so ago in Florida where he and my mother (married 61 years) live in a retirement community not far from one of my sisters and two of my brothers. But I live in NY, and am not in a position to relocate at this time. I try to stay in close touch with everyone there.
Apparently, my dad is holding his own to some extent with the Exelon patch, but he's completely confused about numbers and time, and recently when his 90 year old cousin passed away in Florida, he couldn't believe that his cousin wasn't still a young man living up North. Another cousin wanted him to come to the funeral, but my mother thought that would be unworkable.
She did bring him to upstate NY for a vacation this summer. They were here for 2 weeks. I think he enjoyed being here. It's a familiar place for him.
I appreciate coming into this forum, look forward to some information, conversations, mutual support.
