 New from NC
My 86 year old mom was diagnosed with Lewy Bodies last week and my father has mid stage Alzheimer's. I have no siblings and both parents live with me. I have so many concerns and look forward to hearing how others are coping. If anyone is in a similar situation, I would love to know how you are dealing with this. So far, the various agencies I have called are sympathetic, but have given me little help. This web site is amazing! Thanks to everyone who has contributed!

Welcome Ksparks, Sorry for your need but glad you have found your way here, seems as you have been hot double and I am sorry for that, I hope you have visited our Home page as there is tons of information there too, LBDA.org, have you checked into support groups in your area, depending where you are in NC

 Re: New from NC
Welcome! Things are a little quiet here right now, because the forums have been down for maintenance. That will give you a little time to browse through previous posts of interest to you. Do post your questions and concerns -- you'll find a lot of support here!

 Re: New from NC
Hi KSparks, Welcome to the group. We live in Durham and also have been searching for help--specifically home healthcare. This has been a long road dealing with insurance, drs., lawyers, etc. (and I'm still working on it.) It's sort of a Catch 22-there are many support groups that probably would give us good info. but unless you can get someone to stay with your LO's you can't go. Believe me I know how you feel-overwhelmed & frustrated! You're right, this website is amazing! When a new symptom or problem appears, I immediately click-on and usually find an answer. Stay connected--I'll be happy to help if I can. Kathy
