An important website alert from LBDA

Some visitors who are accessing LBDA’s website via a Google search or the Firefox browser are temporarily receiving a warning that LBDA’s website may contain harmful software. This was due to a third party script that infected our website vendor’s server. Thankfully, the script was immediately contained and www.lbda.org is safe for all visitors to use.

Our website vendor is working closely with Google to remove the warning announcement, though it will take a day or two for that process to be complete. In the meantime, they will be moving our website to another server which has not been flagged by Google. Our site will be down briefly (less than an hour) sometime in the next 24 hours.

We appreciate your patience while this problem is fully resolved.

New resource for physicians treating Lewy body dementia

LBDA is pleased to provide medical professionals with the latest authoritative information on Lewy body dementia (LBD) through a new online resource. Physicians, nurses and other health care professionals will now find easy-to-read tables and figures on LBD diagnosis and treatment options along with family- and patient-centered publications that can be downloaded or ordered at no cost by clicking here. (Scroll down upon landing on page.)

LBDA is grateful to the Jerry Carpenter Lewy Body Disease Fund, a Subcommittee of the Turner Family Foundation, Foundation for The Carolinas, for its financial support in providing these free resources on LBD to physicians and the families they serve.

The materials were developed by the 20-member LBDA Scientific Advisory Council, an international group of experts in Lewy body dementia and related issues.
